The chicken fricassee has the creaminess that the cream cheese provides, and the crunchiness of the straw potatoes, which guarantees a finishing touch to the dish.

Bahian rice is a mix of flavors, a dish full of life that will make decorating your table easier.

As they are more traditional dishes, they fit perfectly into all occasions, such as a family Sunday lunch or special occasions.

In addition to having easy-to-prepare recipes, they are a good option for preparing them as a family, serving as an excellent excuse to bring everyone together.

So, let's get to the recipe!

Fricassee

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of cooked rice
  • 1 shredded chicken breast
  • 1 cup of cottage cheese
  • 1 piece of straw potato
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 can of peas
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation time

Start by cooking the chicken breast according to your taste.

Then, wait for it to cool and then shred the entire chicken breast (a tip is to place the chicken in the blender jar and use the pulse function).

In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the grated onion until golden, then add the shredded chicken breast and then the peas.

On a platter, place a layer of rice, the sautéed chicken, large spoonfuls of cottage cheese and straw potatoes, follow the same order until all the ingredients are used up.

To finish, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and place in the preheated oven, just to brown.

Ready! Your fricassee is now ready.

Now let's move on to the second dish.

Bahian rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of white rice
  • 3 ½ glasses of water
  • 5 sausages
  • 400 g bacon
  • 300 g pitted green olives, chopped
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 chopped red pepper
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1 bunch of chopped green scent
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Seasonings to your taste

I recommend Bahian seasoning, oregano, parsley, leek and cumin.

Preparation time

Start cooking the white rice as usual, if desired, add ½ glass of water more to finish.

Separately, place the eggs to cook.

Take the time to fry the bacon without using oil, fry until it is golden brown.

Afterwards, add the sausage and fry until golden.

Then, add the chopped red pepper, add all the powdered seasonings and wait for it to fry for a few more minutes.

Add the onion and soon after it browns add the corn and olives.

To finish, add the chopped boiled eggs and coriander.

Turn off the heat and place the preparation in a dish, then add the rice and mix well.

Your Bahian rice is now ready to be served!

You can also add other flavors to your taste, this way the dishes become even more original to your taste!
